Why a teacher should record learners’ individual learning goals?
In planning to meet learners’ needs, it is very crucial to document the step you take as a teacher. Recording procedures and outcomes of negotiations between you and the learners is important as it would help in case you need a reference; also it would act as witness testimony of your work.
While encouraging learners to keep their learning logs, you should file copies of students’ Individual Learning Plans (ILP) and action plans. You should always ensure you abide by your institutions’ information management procedures and protocols for confidentiality and the safety of learners’ information.
